Neymar has indicated that the 2022 World Cup could be his last for Brazil in a fairly unforeseen new development. The 29 years old, the talented footballer has a couple of years in front of him, so his words come as somewhat of a shock to fans across the world.
Neymar has conceded he doesn’t anticipate playing another World Cup after the 2022 tournament in Qatar, as the strain of the game has negatively affected his body and mind.
The Brazil star led his country’s endeavors to win their 6th crown at the 2014 and 2018 editions, just to see those missions miss the mark at the semi-final and quarter-final stages individually.
What’s more, with minimal over a year to go before the following rivalry starts off, he isn’t hopeful about stretching out his global vocation through to the 2026 World Cup in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
In DAZN’s documentary named Neymar and The Line of Kings, the PSG aggressor said that he’ll do everything inside his forces to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Brazil.
“I think it’s my last World Cup. I see it as my last because I don’t if I have the strength of mind to deal with football anymore. I’ll do everything to turn up well and win it with my country to realize my greatest dream since I was little, I hope I can do it.”
Brazil haven’t got their hands on football’s greatest honor beginning around 2002 and will hope to take advantage of Neymar’s essence to do as such in Qatar.
The PSG genius has included in two World Cups for the Selecao up until this point, yet he has so far been not able to lead his national team to the guaranteed land.
