Novak Djokovic said he was confident he could play in the following U.S and Australian Opens when he launched a tennis complex in the Bosnian town of Visoko.
Talking after the launch, the Serbian player – who won the Wimbledon Championships – guaranteed last January’s Australian chaos wouldn’t rehash in the U.S.
“I’m not going to go to America if I don’t have a permission,” he said.
He added he still wanted to take part but admitted there was “not much time remaining for things to change.”
The 21-time Grand Slam champion discredited he “forced” his direction into Australia last January and said it was “actually proven on the court case” that he didn’t.
Djokovic had begun 2022 tied on 20 Grand Slam titles with individual ‘big three’ rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
He may not show up in another slams again until next May’s French Open on the grounds that without an immunization he could likewise be banished from contending in Australia in January.
