The Asia Cup, which was supposed to be held in Sri Lanka, has been shifted to the United Arab Emirates, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said on Thursday.
Ganguly told reporters after the main board meeting here, that the Asian Cup will be in the United Arab Emirates, as it is the only place where it will not rain.
The Council will not be in a position to host the next edition of the T20 Asian Cup due to the economic and political crisis in the country.
The postponement of the third edition of the Lanka Premier League came after the SLC recently decided to postpone the league due to the ongoing crisis.
