There was a security breach at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday as three fans ran onto the field of play to take a selfie with Virat Kohli.

The episode happened on Day 2 of the pink-ball Test among India and Sri Lanka in Bengaluru on Sunday when the star cricketer was standing in the slip cordon.

In a video that has circulated around the social media, three fans were visible bursting into the arena and running towards Kohli for a selfie.

Security authorities made a decent attempt to catch hold of them out even as the cricketer himself demands them not to be too cruel on the fans.

The 33-year-old at last obliges the selfie demand yet requests that fans keep up with social distancing, remembering the bio-bubble conventions.

Virat Kohli received thunderous reception during the Test from the spectators as he plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.Regardless of Kohli’s twin disappointments, Team India end up in order in the pink-ball Test civility of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah. While Shreyas scored 92 and 67, Pant contributed 39 and 50. Bumrah asserted 5 for 24 in Sri Lanka’s first innings and sent back Lahiru Thirimanne for a duck in the second.
