Meenakshi, an Indian cyclist, crashed and was struck by one of her competitors during the women’s 10km scratch race at the Commonwealth Games in this city.

Meenakshi lost control of her bike and fell off the bend’s banking in the terrifying incident.

Bryony Botha of New Zealand was also involved in the collision when her bicycle ran over Meenakshi and Botha herself came off of her bike.

Soon after the collision, emergency personnel arrived on the site, and both riders were removed from the competition. A stretcher was used to remove Meenakshi.

Laura Kenny of England competed in the race as well; she was in the lead when it was stopped.

This is the second crash in two days at the Lee Valley Velo Park after England’s Matt Walls fell from his bike.
