Lovepreet Singh of India continued his nation’s medal run in weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games on Wednesday by taking home a bronze in the men’s 109 kg division.

To place third on the podium, the Punjabi 24-year-old lifted a total of 355 kg, including a 192 kg clean and jerk that set a new national record. He snatched up 163 kilogrammes.

Jack Opeloge of Samoa won the silver medal by lifting 358 kg, while Junior Nyabeyeu of Cameroon won the gold with a total lift of 361 kg.

India has won eight medals in weightlifting so far, including three golds in the championship.
