Ruturaj Gaikwad became the 11th Indian batter in List-A history to score a double century. He was also the first to do so while representing Maharashtra.
Ankit Bawne previously held the record for the highest individual score for Maharashtra in List-A matches. Last week, he scored 184 runs off 143 balls against Puducherry in Ranchi. Ruturaj has now set a new record with an innings of 220 runs.
Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Maharashtra captain, hit seven consecutive sixes in this over. When the fifth ball of the inning turned, the over was won by 43 runs.
