Former India cricketer, Suresh Raina is set to represent the defending champions Deccan Gladiators in the upcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022.
35-year-old Raina will be playing his maiden season in the Abu Dhabi T10 League after announcing his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and domestic cricket on September 6. Raina will be seen playing alongside players like Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Jason Roy, Taskin Ahmed, Odean Smith, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman in the Deccan Gladiators.
In the IPL, Raina represented his team Chennai Super Kings and also captained the Gujarat Lions in 2016-2017. He has been one of the most consistent run-scorer in the IPL scoring 5,528 runs in the league with an average of 32.52 and a strike rate of 136.76. He is the fifth-highest run-scorer in the history of the league with 39 fifties and 1 hundred. Raina, who is also known an Mr IPL, has scored the most runs as a batter for the CSK franchise in the history of the tournament.
The former India cricketer has scored 5,615 runs from 226 games in his ODI career and was an integral part of the team which won the 2011 ODI World Cup in India. He has also scored 1,605 runs from 78 matches in the T20I format while playing for his country.
Most recently, he represented India Legends which won the championship title in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series.

The sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League begins on November 23 and gets concluded on December 4. The Gladiators play their first game against Team Abu Dhabi on the opening day itself, taking the field for the second match of the day on the opening day.
