Virat Kohli gifts his signed ODI jersey to Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz received a ‘special souvenir’ from former India captain Virat Kohli after the end of the second test at Sher-E-Bangla stadium in Dhaka on Sunday.

India won the Test match by three wickets in the morning session on Day 4 after a match-winning partnership from Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin who added an unbeaten 71-run stand to take their side home from a difficult position at 74/7.

Despite India winning the Test match and the series 2-0, off-spinner Mehidy was brilliant in the Test match and troubled the visitors with his all-round performance in the whole series. He was the highest wicket-taker in the Test series with 11 wickets from two games at an average of 28.90.

The 25-year-old took to social media to share the picture of him receiving the ODI jersey from Kohli.

“Special souvenir from one of the greatest cricketer Virat Kohli,” Mehidy wrote in a post on Twitter along with the picture.

With his brilliant all-round performance, Mehidy troubled the Indian team throughout the Test and ODI series.

His sensational show with the bat helped Bangladesh beat India in the ODIs earlier this month before he continued his sublime form in the Test series as well.

The off-spinner with his five-wicket haul of 5/63 in the second innings reduced India to 74/7 while chasing a small target of 145 on the turning track in the second Test.
