Former German international and current UEFA Head of Women’s Football Nadine Kessler accepts that the game unrecognizable contrasted with her playing days.
“I really think it’s completely incomparable. I might need to be a bit provocative, but I think in my days, people are more concerned with if my jersey fits than the actual match result,” she said.
“I really think we’ve come a long way. Player’s being treated like athletes, we’ve got a sport that really turns into a proper profession… I think women’s football is in a different sphere now,” she added.
UEFA Football and Social Responsibility Director, Michele Uva focused on that social media misuse can battled by working together.
“We don’t feel alone, we feel that we can work together, including the media, including the fans. This is a match that we can win if we play together as a team. We need only to apply and use all our skills to play this match.”
