Later there was a middle-order collapse of the Bangladeshi batters. Paul Van Meekeren the man with the golden arm scalped three important wickets of experienced batters Shanto, Shakib and Mushfiqur. The off-cutter which rattled the stumps to dismiss Mushfiqur was a delight to watch.
Bangladesh was cleaned out for a mere 142 runs and the Dutch with a solid performance with the ball won the game by 87 runs. This is the rise of Netherlands cricket, and they will cherish this moment forever.
Paul Van Meekeren was adjudged with the Player of the Match for his spell of 7.2-23-4.
