Anju Tamang scored four goals and Dangmei Grace added two as India defeated Maldives 9-0 in the SAFF Women’s Championship at the Dashrath Stadium on Saturday.
India now has six points from two matches and has secured a place in the semi-finals.

On Monday, India defeated Pakistan 3-0 in the tournament opener.
Tamang’s strike in the 24th minute put India ahead. She scored again before halftime (45+2), and India went into the break up 3-0.
The other goal in the first half came from Priyangka Devi (42nd).
Tamang added two more goals after the break, in the 85th and 88th minutes, with Dangmei Grace (53rd and 86th), Soumya Guguloth (55th), and Kashmina (84th) also scoring.
On September 13, India will play their final group stage match against Bangladesh.
