International Institute of Sports Management (IISM), a spearheading sports management venture established by former India cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni, was rewarded with the renowned Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar by the hands of Shri Anurag Thakur, Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The institute got this honor for its extraordinary work in the sports advancement and improvement. Kulkarni got the honor at function at Ashoka Hotel, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on behalf of IISM.
IISM was last year offered Rashtriya Puruskar virtually by the Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind. The National Sports Awards 2020 function was held for all intents and purposes without precedent for the set of experiences with the President attending the occasion from the President’s House.
IISM, a spearheading drive in the sports management education, was established by Kulkarni, who played three Tests and 10 ODIs, eleven years prior alongside his wife Rasika. The Andheri-based organization offers proficient courses for under-graduate and post-graduate understudies, and investigates unchartered roads of sports the executives schooling in the country.
“On getting the prestigious honor, Kulkarni said “It is a matter of immense pride for IISM to be recognized for its contribution in sports management. Our first-of-its-kind initiative in sports management in India, is gaining popularity. This award will go a long way in making us strive to equip students with professional skills to lead meaningful careers in the sports industry.”

Moreover, I appreciate and am grateful to the constant support received from the Sports Authority of India and Khelo India towards our industrious efforts of doing something novel in the sports industry,” he added.

IISM accomplished 100% internships and reliably great placement record.
