'It's time to come home' FC Barcelona appoint former star Xavi as manager

FC Barcelona have confirmed the arrival of Xavi as manager, with the star midfielder confronting an enormous test to reestablish the fallen Spanish goliaths to their previous greatness.

He left Camp Nou to play for Qatari side Al Sadd in 2015, after showing up for the Catalan club, which included winning eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.

“It’s time to come home. Welcome, Xavi,” FC Barcelona tweeted.

Xavi is viewed as one of the club’s most noteworthy ever players and there is tremendous fervor about his potential as a mentor after his effect in the famous Barca group oversaw by Pep Guardiola.

Xavi had made no confidential of his longing to get back to Barcelona, which he joined through the club’s La Masia academy at 11 years old.

“My main objective, when I can do it, is Barca. It’s my home, that’s the dream,” said Xavi.

There are high expectations Xavi can draw on his extraordinary playing profession to restore Barcelona, who as of now sit 10th in La Liga, with worries developing they probably won’t complete in the best four.
