Rafa Nadal introduced on Thursday the UAX Rafa Nadal Sports University, an undertaking pointed toward promoting studies in the sports industry.
The Spanish tennis player said he was glad to add to foster an instructive program including sports and fitness.
“It is a step forward towards education, sports, health. With these values the goal is to create in the UAX a centre that has a world reference in sports, health and of course education,” he said.
The Alfonso X University said Nadal’s team will be critical to carrying their qualities and sports philosophy to the task.
Nadal will make his comeback to the courts following an extended absence because of injury at the current week’s ATP Masters 1000 Madrid Open that starts in the not so distant future.
His return to action comes a little under a month prior to the French Open, where he will offer for a record-expanding fourteenth title.
