Pranavi Urs wins fifth title in Women's Pro Golf Tour

Pranavi Urs extended her Hero Women’s Pro Golf Tour dominance by winning the 12th leg of the Tour by a massive five-shot margin at the Hyderabad Golf Association course.

Pranavi’s 2-over 72 held out comfortably, while local golfer Sneha Singh shot 1-over 71 and moved into a tie for second with amateur Kriti Chowhan, who had two bogeys in the last three holes during a round of 73.

Pranavi’s fifth victory in 12 events extended her lead on the Hero Order of Merit. Her winnings total Rs. 12,24,500, while Hitaashee Bakshi comes in second with Rs.8,62,700. Seher Atwal is third with Rs.8,23,350.

Pranavi, starting the final round with a four-shot cushion, began in a steady fashion with five pars in a row. She then made a double bogey on the Par-5 sixth, followed by a birdie on seventh and a bogey on eighth to finish with a 2-over 36.

Pranavi shot 72 after two birdies and two back-to-back bogeys on the back nine, while Kriti shot 73 after a double on the Par-3 11th and a birdie on the Par-3 16th.

Hitaashee Bakshi (75), winner of the 11th Leg, and Asmitha Sathish (72) tied for 12th place at 220.

The Tour now travels to the national capital region for the 13th Leg, which will be held at the Gary Player-designed DLF Golf & Country Club.
