Rohit Sharma, who was not a part of two-Test series against New Zealand won’t partake in the Test series that begins on December 26.
It is known that Rohit, who was practicing at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai throughout the last week, experienced a physical issue during one of those training sessions. It is yet to be conformed if he will take part in the ODI series as the injury is serious in nature.
Rohit complained of distress to the support staff at the practice session itself. Although, tests were done on Monday and now it is known to be a serious injury.
Priyank Panchal, the opening batter from Gujarat, scored 120 runs for India at an average in three innings. He has featured in first-class matches and has scored 7011 runs at an average of 45.52 and has got 24 centuries to his name.
