Ravi Shastri on Tuesday mentioned the BCCI’s conflict of interest clause, which kept him from doing IPL commentary while he was with the national team, “stupid”.
Having given up the national team coaching position, Shastri is returning discourse in the Indian Premier League (IPL) after a long time.
“This is the 15th edition of the IPL, I did the first 11 years and then thanks to some stupid conflict of interest clause that exists in some stupid constitution that binds us, you could not do the last few seasons,” said Shastri in a press conference.
Yet again the 59-year-old Shastri has become well known behind the mic after his profession as an India player, and fans will get to hear his roaring voice.
Shastri had communicated his disappointment with the particular provision last December as well.
