'Time for the BCCI President to dive in,' demands Ravi Shastri as Saha faces threat-laced texts
Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has spoken with regards to the threat-bound texts received Wriddhiman Saha. Prior, Saha took to Twitter to share the screenshot of discourteous messages he had gotten from a ‘respected journalist’  for rejecting an interview.

“Shocking a player being threatened by a journo. Blatant position abuse. Something that’s happening too frequently with #TeamIndia. Time for the BCCI PREZ to dive in. Find out who the person is in the interest of every cricketer. This is serious coming from ultimate team man WS” Ravi Shastri tweeted.

The wicketkeeper batter was dropped from the squad for the impending Sri Lanka home series and uncovered to the media that he was informed that the management is no longer looking to consider him for selection and that he should consider retiring from international cricket.

Wriddhiman Saha was uncertain regarding the reason why he was dropped from the Test squad and said that he had been guaranteed by BCCI president Sourav Ganguly of his position in the team.

“He (Ganguly) even mentioned that I should not worry about anything so long as he is at the helm of the BCCI. Such a message from the board president really boosted my confidence. But I failed to understand why everything changed so fast.” he was quoted as saying by TOI.
