Mashal Sports successfully held the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 Player Auctions in Mumbai on the 5th and 6th of August 2022. At the two-day event, Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, who was acquired by Tamil Thalaivas, was the most costly purchase. Over the course of the two days of the Player Auction, 130 players from each of the four player categories were sold to the 12 franchisees.

  • Among the Category C players, Amirhossein Bastami emerged as the highest bid, attracting an amount of INR 65.1 lakh from the Haryana Steelers
  • Among the Category D players, Nitin Chandel emerged as the highest bid, attracting an amount of INR 19.70 lakh from the Jaipur Pink Panthers
  • The 24 athletes that competed in the Khelo India University Games 2022 final were given the chance to participate in the vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 Player Auction, and Jai Bhagwan seized the chance by being selected by U Mumba for INR 10 lakh.
