India will play Brazil in a FIFA World Cup in its U-17 tournament for women.

Hosts India have been grouped alongside force to be reckoned with, Morocco and the USA in a tough group for the impending U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the draw for which occurred in Zurich on Friday.

The nation is scheduled to host the competition from October 11 to 30 across three venues – Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium, Goa’s Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium.

India, being the host country, are automatically placed in Group A. A sum of 16 teams across four groups will be taking part in the competition.

India will start their mission against the USA on October 11 (Tuesday) at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Their subsequent match will be against Morocco on October 14 (Friday) at the same venue. The home team’s last group stage match against Brazil will be on October 17 (Monday).

Group B comprises of Germany, Nigeria, Chile and New Zealand. Japan, Tanzania, Canada and France comprise Group D.

This is the second time India is facilitating a FIFA competition after the U-17 men’s World Cup in 2017.
