The storied Tata Mumbai Marathon returns in 2023 after a two-year hiatus as the year’s first major event.

The event, which is sponsored by Procam International and features divisions like the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, Dream Run, Senior Citizens’ Run, and the Champions with Disability Run, will have ASICS, a Japanese sports performance company, as its official “Sports Goods Partner.” The starting point will be the well-known Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).

The course of the renowned Tata Mumbai Marathon served as the basis for the limited-edition race t-shirt expressing the exuberant feeling brought on by a runner’s successes through movement.

Over 55,000 participants will take to the streets of Mumbai on Driven by Sunday, January 15, for the 18th edition of the iconic Tata Mumbai Marathon, as the city bursts to life in a celebration of #HarDilMumbai.

Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons, said, “Associating with the Tata Mumbai Marathon is the perfect platform to celebrate the determination and hard work of runners from all over the world. It also serves as a platform for charitable giving and community building which is a matter of great pride.”

“TMM will see amateur and professional marathoners from across India and the world come together to push the limits of human endurance in this premier event. I am sure that the friendly and hospitable Mumbaikars will welcome, support and cheer the marathoners as they run through the roads of our city and feel inspired to set and achieve their personal best,” he added.

This year, more than a dozen men and six women have personal bests that are under the course record in the World Athletics Gold Label Road Race, one of the top 10 marathons in the world with a USD 405,000 prize fund.

The youngest men’s 100-meter world champion, Yohan Blake of Jamaica, is the international event ambassador, and his presence in Mumbai demonstrates the event’s expanding impact.

The Socio-Economic and Health Impact of Tata Mumbai Marathon 2020 is a new “Impact Report,” which was created by IISM students and released in collaboration with Procam International. Their students prepared this report with the capable direction and assistance of the Procam International team.

Today, as part of the “Countdown to the Iconic Tata Mumbai Marathon 2023,” the report was released.
