BCCI’s doping control officer Abhijit Salvi has resigned due to personal reasons. Abhijit Salvi’s notice period finished on November 30 however he continued till the end of the second Test among India and New Zealand on December 7.

His job had acquired importance in COVID times with customary testing and bio-bubble life turning into an essential piece of worldwide cricket.

“I thank the BCCI for giving me this opportunity. After 10 years in the organisation, I wanted to move on. It had become a 24×7 job in COVID times and I want to give time to myself and family,” said Abhijit Salvi.

Abhijit Salvi was accountable for BCCI’s age-confirmation, against doping and clinical wing. His acquiescence comes ahead of the Vijay Merchant Trophy, one month from now.
