CWC 23, India vs Pakistan: Indian bowlers stuns Pakistan with a middle order collapse

India made a remarkable comeback during the middle overs, with Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav’s strikes leading to a collapse in the Pakistan batting lineup. Despite Pakistan being at 155/2, they quickly lost 8 wickets, adding only 37 runs to their total and were eventually bowled out for a mere 191 runs.

In the earlier part of the game, Pakistan batted first, they got off to a strong start with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-Ul-Haq finding the boundary frequently. While Mohammed Siraj initially conceded some runs, he later made amends by removing Shafique in the eighth over. Imam played a solid innings but was dismissed by Hardik Pandya after scoring 36 runs.

Following that, Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan formed a strong partnership that posed a significant challenge to the Indian bowlers. However, Mohammed Siraj showcased his brilliance by getting rid of Babar Azam for 50 runs, breaking their 82-run partnership.

Pakistan’s fortunes took a nosedive from that point onwards, as Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Saud Shakeel and Iftikhar Ahmed in the same over. In the very next over, Jasprit Bumrah cleaned up Rizwan and Shadab Khan. Hardik Pandya accounted for Nawaz, and Ravindra Jadeja, with his spin expertise, dismantled the tailenders to wrap up Pakistan’s innings with a total of 191 runs.
