‘Deeply sorry for the pain I’ve caused’: Tim Paine quits captaincy amid sexting scandal

Tim Paine has stepped down as Australia skipper subsequent to being investigated by Cricket Australia over sending an associate an unequivocal picture of himself alongside a line of prurient messages.

The 36-year-old was elevated to skipper following the ball tempering outrage in South Africa in 2018 yet has surrendered in disgrace following the furthest down the line embarrassment to shake Australian cricket.

In a statement recently delivered, Paine has let Cricket Australia know that he will step down as captain, from this point forward.

Cricket Australia executive Richard Freudenstein said: “Tim felt it was in the best interests of his family and Australian cricket to take this decision to step down as captain.

“The Board has accepted Tim’s resignation and will now work through a process with the National Selection Panel of identifying and appointing a new captain.”

As per the Herald Sun, the messages date back to the eve and the morning of the principal Ashes Test at the Gabba in 2017.

They report that while a portion of the messages were too unequivocal to even think about distributing, the trade included Paine proposing to the lady: “Will you want to taste my *** ?? F*** me, I’m seriously hard.

In a correspondence with Australia Cricket experts in June 2018, the lady asserted she was annoyed by Mr Paine’s physically unequivocal, unwanted and spontaneous photo of his privates notwithstanding the realistic sexual remarks.

Cricket Australia supposedly became mindful of the messages as quite a while in the past as March 2018 after letter of objection were shipped off Cricket Australia and to Cricket Tasmania – the last option of which she worked at prior to resigning in 2017.
