David Warner blended a serious tempest on social media for not attending his team’s clash against the Rajasthan Royals on Monday. However, head coach Trevor Bayliss disregarded any contention, saying he remained back at the hotel to give more young players match experience.
Indeed, even as SRH indented up a success in IPL 2021 interestingly since April 2021, fans developed anxious seeing David Warner, their once supernatural pioneer, missing even in the hole.
He was barraged via social media with questions about his whereabouts, to one of which he answered, “unfortunately won’t be again”.
Tested with regards to something very similar, Trevor Bayliss answered it was a normal move to make a portion of young faces experience being at an IPL match. He further explained David Warner, alongside batsman Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav and Shahbaz Nadeem, are completely fit and essentially stayed at the hotel.
“We’ve got a lot of young players here, and for this match we decided obviously we’re going to make a few changes in the team. But to give some of the young players who haven’t been a part of the 18 and we had to bring them to the game, give them the opportunity to come along and experience a game. We’ve got a number of guys who stayed behind in the hotel and haven’t even experienced being at the ground,” said Trevor Bayliss.
“So we want to give all those young guys as much of an experience as we possibly can. So for this game, it was David, Kedar and Nadeem with the three fit guys that weren’t here today,” he added.
The continuous hacking and changing at long last delivered profits as the Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets. IPL 2021 has been as much a thrill ride for SRH as it has been for their 2016 IPL-winning captain.
Six matches into the competition, David Warner was first sacked as skipper and afterward avoided with regard to the playing XI against, as it turns out..
So is this the beginning of the end for David Warner, who is the IPL’s driving run-getter among overseas players? An answer that will be answered in the upcoming matches.
