Manchester City’s journey to the Champions League final has been impressive. They defeated formidable opponents Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals and then eliminated the defending champions Real Madrid in the semi-finals to secure their spot in the final against Inter Milan.
Inter Milan
On the other hand, Inter Milan, a team with a rich European history, is vying for their fourth Champions League title. Their previous triumphs came in the seasons of 1963-64, 1964-65, and most recently in 2009-10 under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
Inter Milan, led by coach Simone Inzaghi, had a relatively smoother path to the final compared to Manchester City. They overcame Porto in the round of 16 and went on to eliminate Benfica and their city rivals AC Milan in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, respectively.
Inter Milan enters the final in Istanbul with the momentum of winning the Italian Supercup and Italian Cup titles under the leadership of Simone Inzaghi. They will be eager to add another Champions League trophy to their collection and solidify their status as one of Europe’s top clubs.
