Viacom has committed INR 951 crore over the course of the next five years, with INR 7.09 crore for each match.
The Women’s T20 Challenge was originally intended to be an exhibition event, but the BCCI ultimately decided to launch the WIPL last year, with the first season’s opening match set for March.
The BCCI has not yet made the tournament’s schedule public, but it is widely accepted that the first season’s 22 matches, which will take place between March 5 and March., will take place during that time.
