An Afghanistan footballer who played for the national youth team tumbled to his demise after attempting to stick to a US plane carrying individuals out of Taliban-controlled Kabul, a games alliance said Thursday.
The General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports of Afghanistan, an administration establishment that worked with brandishing gatherings, affirmed the passing of Zaki Anwari in the anarchy that ejected at the air terminal in the capital this week.
“Anwari, like thousands of Afghan youths, wanted to leave the country but fell off a US plane and died,” the group said in a statement posted on Facebook.
A large number of Afghans have run to the air terminal this week in a bid to escape the nation, following the Taliban’s lightning hostility that finished with them expecting power when president Ashraf Ghani escaped.
In a nerve racking video from the air terminal on Monday, many individuals were seen running close by a US Air Force plane as it built up momentum on the runway – a few men frantically clutching the side.
Further clasps via web-based media seemed to show two individuals tumbling to their demise from a C-17 airplane after it took off.
Human remaining parts were subsequently found in a wheel well, the US military affirmed, adding that it was exploring the detailed passing connected to the C-17.
“Before the air crew could offload the cargo, the aircraft was surrounded by hundreds of Afghan civilians,” US Air Force Ann Stefanek said.
“Faced with a rapidly deteriorating security situation around the aircraft, the C-17 crew decided to depart the airfield as quickly as possible.” 56
