Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny announces retirement from all formats of the game

India all-rounder Stuart Binny on Monday, August 30 announced his retirement from first-class and worldwide cricket. The Karnataka star represented India in three Tests, 14 ODIs and two T20is. He made his India debut in 2014 and last played for the country in a T20I in Lauderhill in 2016 against the West Indies.

Stuart Binny was a volatile lower middle order batsman and a helpful medium speed bowler. The 37-year-old hit in excess of 400 runs in worldwide cricket and got 24 wickets during his two-year profession.

“I would like to inform that I have decided to retire from international and first-class cricket. It has given me tremendous joy and pride to have represented my country at the highest international level,” said Stuart Binny.

“I would like to acknowledge the huge role that the BCCI have played in my cricketing journey. Their faith and support over the years have been incredible. My cricketing journey would not even have started had it not been for Karnataka state and their support. It has been an honour to captain and win trophies with my state,” he added.

Binny holds the record for the best figures in an innings for an Indian bowler in ODI cricket. He had gone out of control in Dhaka on June 17, 2014 finishing with figures of 6/4 in 4.4 overs.

Stuart Binny has scored 4796 runs and gotten 148 wickets in five star matches, having been essential for triumphant Karnataka teams previously. He has 1641 runs and 73 wickets in T20 cricket and 1788 runs and 99 wickets in List A cricket.

He also played for Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals in his Indian Premier League profession. Binny played 65 IPL coordinates and scored 880 runs and got 22 wickets. He last played in the IPL in 2019 for Rajasthan Royals.

Stuart Binny took up instructing preparing at the National Cricket Academy with an eye on rewarding the local area of cricket.
